What is HaloTherapy? Could I benefit from Salt Therapy???

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

‌Halotherapy, or salt therapy, involves breathing in air with tiny salt particles to improve your breathing. Halotherapy is considered an alternative treatment for lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, and cough..

History of Salt Therapy

In the 12th century, the practice of visiting salt caves for therapeutic reasons, or speleotherapy, was common in Eastern Europe. In the 1800s, salt miners in Poland found a more modern version of what’s now halotherapy. Despite working in mines all day, the Polish miners didn’t have any respiratory conditions and were unusually healthy. They weren’t likely to get the colds or coughs that were common among other people.

Research showed that the salty air the miners breathed helped keep their lungs free from infection and allergies. Over time, Eastern European salt mines or caves became popular tourist destinations. People from all over the world visited to inhale the salty air and ease their lung problems.

How it works

The machine we use is called a Halotherapy by clearlight. What we do is situate the unit inside of our two person sauna. Being in an enclosed room concentrates the mist, so thus being more beneficial. The machine disperses the mist for 20 minutes however you are more than welcome to stay in longer, the salt is still in the air.

Personal Testimonies

I use this whenever I feel allergies coming on. That slight tickle in the back of the throat or nose. Also, have used it whenever the wind changes and the mold gets a little higher here in South Texas, I get a dry skin rash and the micro salt takes care of it for me. No more itchy skin

I use it often on my daughter. Takes care of her allergies, stuffy ears etc. In fact recently she was quite sick and because the unit is moveable I put it on the floor next to her while she napped. The next day she had a cough (the salt loosened the stuff up so it can come out) and she was back at school like she was a brand new kiddo.

I personally would recommend adding some sort of salt therapy for your life

Breath better, healthier looking skin as well
